THAT LAST SCHOOL TRIP

It was 2018 when a trip to Mojoland (an amusement park in Haryana) was organized for us by our school. I was in class 12 at that time and was very excited to go out with my school friends, especially since our farewell was just a few days away. It can be said that I forgot my fear of heights and thrilling rides at that moment and immediately agreed to go.

But on the day of the trip, although I was pretending not to be scared, I was literally shivering inside.

My two best friends had already planned to take every ride there. And I also agreed because I didn't want to show my fear to anyone... obviously (I still don't know why I was hiding my real feelings in front of my best friends).

When we reached there, we started executing our plan. Many of the rides were really enjoyable and not scary at all. We enjoyed these so-called "kids' rides" first and later went to the scarier ones (scary, at least for me).

Then, we ran to the Free Fall Ride. For a girl like me, who had a fear of heights and had to pretend not to be scared, this was doubly difficult.

We went to the ride and put on the seat belts. The ride started, and I literally felt like I was going to die. I know this may seem funny to many of us. Fortunately, I survived. The ride that seemed life-threatening to me earlier turned out to be enjoyable, and the view from the top was really fantastic.

After that, we saw the 360° Ride... I don't know what it's called exactly, but this was the one with the least crowd.

I thought I didn't have enough courage for this. But when my friends ran to it, I went too. The controller said in a serious way, "Those who are scared, don't go, because it will not stop in the middle once started." My blood pressure was about to peak after hearing this, but yet I went.

As soon as the ride started, I closed my eyes, and the rollercoaster of excitement and fear began. Whenever I opened my eyes, all I saw were trees, but in the reverse view, and I immediately closed my eyes again. It finally stopped, and I felt like the most courageous person there. After that, my fear was gone, and we enjoyed all the remaining rides.

I know this is not an adventure for many, but for me, taking those thrilling rides for the first time was really adventurous. Now, when I think of that day, I feel happy and satisfied to be among those who took all the rides. Thanks to my friends and myself for successfully hiding and ultimately winning against my fear. The most important thing I learned is that we fear something until we do it. Fear is in our mind only. Once you overcome your fears, you win yourself.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Stay tuned for next one :)
